Many Christians are still like infant babies. What do infant babies do? They try to put everything in their mouths and eat it. But when infant become adults, they become cautious of what they put in their mouths. But today, just as the western world eat all kinds of junk and fast food which is basically killing them, many Christians today spiritual eat anything because it tastes good.
Just because it taste good and sweet does not mean is it good for us. Just because the processed or fast food taste good does not mean we can live on it and expect to be healthy.
Spiritually, this is the same. We cannot just eat what is dished out, especially processed. What is processed? Junk thrown together easy and cheap. Spiritual meat is not always sweet. Spiritual meat does not go down easy. In fact, spiritual meat is tough to swallow. Spiritual meat takes time to digest. Spiritual meat does not give one vain hope. But spiritual meat will make you grow stronger. Even in real life, sometimes it is the things that does not taste too good that may be more healthier for us.
When milk is served, everyone can gather. Everyone can unite. People keep telling me that we should unite and get along for the sake of unity or love. Well, how about we unite under Truth? You see, once Truth is compromised, then you will get separation. Sadly, everyone thinks they got Truth. How do we know we are not deceived?
You must spend the time and dig deeper than the surface of scripture. You must learn God's ways and man's ways from history in the bible. You must cling on to the Holy Spirit for dear life. Truth does not need to defend itself. Truth does not need to rally a following to justify their actions. Truth is spoken when the Spirit leads one to speak.
