Possessing spiritual Gifts can be so dangerous

A few years ago, the Lord taught me that receiving spiritual gifts can be most dangerous to the receiver. Why? Their heads get big which can lead to complacency. And for those who hear or see God, you must continue to test the spirit. For those who can hear or see God more clearly than the average Christian, you will be judged more severely so don't just say "God said."

One who possess spiritual gifts must first possess the biblical Fear of God. One must know there will be severe consequences for misrepresentation or deception.

Even in life, those who are the loudest are the ones with no depth or consistency. To all my brethren out there, I know a lot of confusion has come about. But it is your choice to take it all in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you. It will be your ultimate choice of what you choose to believe.

If you are not sure, it is best you stay neutral. For if you falsely accuse, you will bring judgment not only for yourselves but your children. I say this to protect you since so many have not read the OT to understand God's Full Counsel.

When we receive spiritual gifts whether we can hear or see God, we must become more humble instead of becoming more LOUD. Many right now seem to be running a marathon to prove themselves.

I keep hearing people shouting, "We need no mentors! We hear God for ourselves!" They should go meditate on Numbers chapter 16. Yes, we should be lead by the Holy Spirit but what about baby Christians who are not able to hear God so clearly? Who do they imitate or follow? Did Paul not say, "Imitate me?" Who are they to lean upon as they grow since they do not hear God so clearly?

What I see is classic Korah's rebellion. They shouted that they did not need Moses because God speaks to them as well. Many of them have no depth or fruit. They come at you with prophecy claiming it is from God. How do you know? There must be consistency. Yes, there may be times when they hear God but is it consistent or is it MIXED?

Numbers 16:2-3 2And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the Israelites, 250 princes or leaders of the congregation called to the assembly, men well known and of distinction. 3And they gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, [Enough of you!] YOU TAKE TOO MUCH UPON YOURSELVES, seeing that all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves up above the assembly of the Lord?

I hear that a lot now. "Stop exalting yourselves or man."

God will deal with all this very soon. As I said, stay neutral and watch and observe. If you falsely accuse and end up on the wrong side of the fence, it will not be pleasant for you or your families. I am not trying to scare anyone but I must tell you real consequences.

Daniel 6:19-24Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. 20And when he came to the den and to Daniel, he cried out in a voice of anguish. The king said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, Whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?21Then Daniel said to the king, O king, live forever!22My God has sent His angel and has shut the lions' mouths so that they have not hurt me, BECAUSE I WAS FOUND INNOCENT AND BLAMELESS BEFORE HIM; and also before you, O king, [as you very well know] I have done no harm or wrong.23Then the king was exceedingly glad and commanded that Daniel should be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no hurt of any kind was found on him because he believed in (relied on, adhered to, and trusted in) his God.24And the king commanded, and those men who had accused Daniel were brought and cast into the den of lions, THEY, THEIR CHILDREN AND THEIR WIVES; and before they ever reached the bottom of the den, the lions had overpowered them and had broken their bones in pieces.

Return to the biblical Fear of God and know He is God.
