Can demons be in a Christian? June 6, 2011

Demons are like viruses. You cannot see them but they can greatly influence you spiritually, mentally, and physically. Demons can be in everyone including Christians. They must be dealt with and cast out as necessary. The demons mainly enter people as they are given legal right through SIN. But they are also able to enter through different ways such as by laying hands on one another. It is best that you do not just let any "minister, pastor, elder, or lay believer" lay hands and pray over you. We need to be prayed up and our armor polished and ready. How well do you know of those who lay hands and pray for you? When we sin we must be quick to repent so that the demons are not allowed to build their kingdom of darkness inside us. If they are allowed to build their kingdom inside us, we may become more numb to sin and our hearts may continue to harden.

Yes, the demons cannot possess a Christian but they can certainly and strongly can influence us. Just as a flu virus cannot possess anyone but it can strongly influence a person physically, mentally, and emotionally. Demons integrate with your mind, emotions, personality, and physical bodies. They cause serious sickness as people give them the legal right to do so. For example, if a Christian holds unforgiveness in their heart for 20 or so years (20 years is just an example), that spirit of unforgiveness will work with the other demons to cause serious sickness. When a person has resentment and unforgiveness in their hearts for many years, it may have been eating them alive inside out experiencing many sleepless nights and that spiritual issue of the heart will manifest physically into a serious physical and in most cases a terminal illness. In the OT, the disease of leprosy was symbolic of sin. What may the symbolic sickness of sin be today? Was not Miriam, Moses' cousin, struck with leprosy when she had spoken against Moses? Uzziah broke out with leprosy as he was enraged against the priests.

Leviticus 13:47 The garment also that the disease of leprosy [symbolic of sin] is in, whether a wool or a linen garment,

Numbers 12:10-13 And when the cloud departed from over the Tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous! 11And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I plead with you, lay not the sin upon us in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. 12Let her not be as one dead, already half decomposed when he comes out of his mother's womb! 13And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech You!

2 Chronicles 26:19 Then Uzziah was enraged, and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was enraged with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar.

But it can be other major illness as well. When a Christian is experiencing a serious illness, it is a message to wake up and search their hearts. God's people who had traveled with Moses had only become sick when they had disobeyed or rebelled against God. A Christian cannot enter the Kingdom of God with unforgiveness in their hearts. Scripture says unless you forgive others, God cannot forgive you. Grace will NOT supersede God's own Word.

Numbers 21:6-8 Then the Lord sent fiery (burning) serpents among the people; and they bit the people, and many Israelites died.7And the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you; pray to the Lord, that He may take away the serpents from us. So Moses prayed for the people.8And the Lord said to Moses, Make a fiery serpent [of bronze] and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.

Matthew 8:16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were [a]under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health all who were sick.

This is one of the greatest deception within the church as many are being led and taught that demons cannot be in a saved person. They argue and debate pointing out that demons cannot dwell where the Holy Spirit resides. They justify using scripture that light cannot dwell with darkness. I asked the Holy Spirit of this subject. He revealed to me a question for such people. Where is the Holy Spirit? Is He not everywhere? If God is everywhere then the demons should not have any business being anywhere the Holy Spirit is present. Their argument that Light cannot dwell with darkness in that respect does not hold.

Mark 7:25-30 Instead, at once, a woman whose little daughter had (was under the control of) an unclean spirit heard about Him and came and flung herself down at His feet.26Now the woman was a Greek (Gentile), a Syrophoenician by nationality. And she kept begging Him to drive the demon out of her little daughter.27And He said to her, First let the children be fed, for it is not becoming or proper or right to take the children's bread and throw it to the [little house] dogs.28But she answered Him, Yes, Lord, yet even the small pups under the table eat the little children's scraps of food.29And He said to her, Because of this saying, you may go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter [permanently].30And she went home and found the child thrown on the couch, and the demon departed.

A Gentile woman came and asked Jesus for help to drive a demon out of her daughter. The Lord replied harshly and said such help is not for her but for His children. But when she reacted back in faith, the Lord granted her request. Jesus said, "First let the children be fed, for it is not becoming or proper or right to take the children's bread." Deliverance was for God's people. It was not for the Syrophoenician people. Many Christians are led incorrectly to believe that casting out demons are for unbelievers? Well if that is the case, when have ministries ever promoted casting demons out of unbelievers? Do we go up to an unbeliever and ask if they want to have demons cast out first before accepting and believing in the Lord? And when someone does accept the Lord, are they going to state they have no more demons because he/she is a Christian now? If this is the case, then instantly they should all be delivered from their addictions, bondage, and problems upon acceptance of the Lord. When are we suppose to be driving demons out then?

When Jesus walked the earth, He was the Anointing. He came for His own. He came for the what was lost. As He walked, His Power would set the demons off and people would manifest trembling, shaking severely, rolling on the ground, and having seizures. The demons in most cases did not go quietly. They went out screaming and yelling. Some of you have seen videos such as on YouTube of people reacting strangely at churches or meetings and call it the work of the devil! But in reality, it may be people manifesting. Some churches know how to deal with it and properly cast them out but many do not discern and would not know what to do. The presence of the Holy Spirit can make a person shake. But it is not an out of control shake or a slithering movement like a snake. The Holy Spirit does not make people bark either. It is most likely a demonic manifestation. With the Holy Spirit, there is always harmony and balance. We must have discernment to know what is of God and what is the enemy to cast demons out when they manifest instead of calling it the devil's work just as His people accused Him when He walked the earth. I suggest everyone be more cautious of what they conclude if they do not know for themselves.

Luke 4:41 And demons even came out of many people, screaming and crying out, You are the Son of God! But He rebuked them and would not permit them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ (the Messiah).

Demons generally lodge themselves in the belly area. But they can be throughout the body and in the organs of a person. During deliverance, many feel their stomachs react. I think this is where we get the term "butterflies in our stomachs". As demons come out, they can come out in many different ways. Deliverance can be performed and experienced in different ways. Many are led to believe deliverance is like the movie "Exorcism." Although, we ourselves have experienced  full manifestations from people, it is not like the movies. Much of the time is spent discussing and consulting for inner healing. The issue is the heart of a person. God desires a revolution of a person's heart. Furthermore, the Western Church looks down on people who manifest. But sadly, many Christians themselves are infested with demons.

How can I say such a thing that many Christians are infested with demons? When we blurt out in rage, anger, short temper, lust, hate, bitterness, gossip, foul language, etc etc etc, it is the demons you are feeding. Perhaps, you are feeding an addiction? After a person has their fit or rage, they usually regret their words and actions. But by then, the demons have been fed and they retract. This is why we must make the effort to crucify our Flesh and not feed them. It is part of your consecration process so you may live Holy. Are we to look and act like the world? Are we to talk and react as unbelievers or are we going to walk in what we say we are and believe possessing the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit? Either you walk in the Fruit of the Holy Spirit or the carnal nature. One leads to life and one leads to death. Grace is given so we can overcome. It is not given so we can continue in our short comings.

Stop feeding the demons and they will flee to find food from somewhere else.

James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

Matthew 21:12-13  And Jesus went into the temple ([a]whole temple enclosure) and drove out all who bought and sold in the [b]sacred place, and He turned over the [c]four-footed tables of the money changers and the chairs of those who sold doves.13He said to them, The Scripture says, My house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of robbers.

The physical temple consists of three parts, the outer courts, the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. When Jesus came to the temple, He saw those peddling for money in the temple of God and He kicked the money changers out. Where is the temple now? The temple is YOU!! The money changer could not enter the Holy of Holies but they were allowed to do business in the outer court. But they were defiling the physical temple. If the temple is now YOU, then your outer court can become defiled with demons. The demons cannot enter your Holy of Holies where the Holy Spirit resides but they can create havoc in your outer court. When they are kicked out, then healing can come.

Matthew 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the [a]porches and courts of the temple, and He cured them.

God delivers people in different ways. But Jesus said after the resurrection that those who BELIEVE will cast demons out. He is not saying those who believe in casting demons out will be able to cast demons out. He is saying to those who BELIEVE in HIM will be able to cast demons out.

Luke 11:20 "But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God has already come upon you."

Luke 10:9" And heal the sick in it and say to them, The Kingdom of God has come close to you."

We are all able to cast demons and out of ourselves but the strongman or stronghold must be bound and broken. This may require a lot of prayer and fasting. We must incorporate words of "bind and cast out in Jesus Name" in our prayers. The demons are all around, we must deal with them directly for authority and power has been given to His people. And most importantly, RUN FROM ALL FORMS OF SIN!! SHUN FROM EVIL!!

Luke 10:19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Many Christians are afraid of the devil and the demons. It is time to realize Truth and Truly BELIEVE that you have the authority to trample on them and not the other way around. If you are struggling with anger, bind and cast out anger in Jesus Name when it rises up. If you are struggling with lust, bind and cast out in Jesus Name, etc etc. It is not just one statement and they are all gone. Your words of "Get out in Jesus Name!!" is like a holy bullet or punch. You must punch them numerous times. It can be a tug of war of who will give in first. Moreover, you must have a disciplined prayer life.

When the Lord first started us out in our deliverance ministry a few years ago, we would battle with demons for hours and hours as we cast them out from a person. Now, as He has granted us with more of His Fire, it is much more quicker. We cannot kill a demon or evil spirit. The WAR is fought with Authority!! If you consider yourself a Child of God, then walk in that Authority. Speak words of LIFE over yourself instead of words of defeat.

Keep His Temple Holy. You are His Temple and He will NOT share it with anyone or anything. Use this time of Grace to sanctify yourselves. He will destroy anyone who defiles it. This includes "self."

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, [a]collectively as a church and also individually]? 17If anyone [b]does hurt to God's temple or corrupts it [[c]with false doctrines] or destroys it, God will [d]do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is holy (sacred to Him) and that [temple] you [[e]the believing church and its individual believers] are.

God Bless you all

Water to Wine

Jesus had wine from water. In the physical, many Christians see this as an act of Jesus making wine from water. To the carnal nature, it will only be about one's excuse to drink alcohol. However, to the spiritual, there are deeper meaning?

Water represents the Word of God. When Moses struck the rock, water gushed out. What did the rock represent? The rock represents Christ. From Christ comes the water. He is the Word and thus from HIM is the Word. He is the Word. In the wilderness, God's people drank from the rock. In our journey as Christians and as we are in our wildernesses, we must seek the Rock for from the Rock will come life of living water.

Exodus 17:6 (AMP)  Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at [Mount] Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

1 Corinthians 10:2-5 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 They all ate the same spiritual food 4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

Many Christians can be walking in their journey. They are hopefully being fed by the Word of God. They should be drinking from HIM. He is the Rock. But verse 5, "Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness." We can have spiritual experiences. We may even hear God. We can be learning and feeding from God. But just like the OT saints, many today continue to live their lives in disobedience and rebellion. It is more sad because many are deceived and do not know it. And just as before, many today have been and are being judged as their bodies are scattered in the wilderness of life.

The Law was given to the OT saints. Then the Word came in the flesh. The Word walked in the flesh and HE had come to die for the sins of men. The Word or Jesus made a promise that when He leave, He would send us a helper or comforter. Jesus had to leave for it would be more profitable and expedient for us.

John 16:7 (AMP) However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

So Jesus had turned the water into wine. It was the New Wine. This was not your alcoholic wine from a liquor store. This new wine was made from water supernaturally. There were six water pots. Even at 20 gallons, this would make 120 gallons of wine. Jesus would not make alcoholic wine of 120 gallons so that people would mock themselves. Have you ever attended a wedding that served 120 gallons of wine?

John 2:1 (AMP) On the third day there was a wedding at Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.2 Jesus also was invited with His disciples to the wedding.3 And when the wine was all gone, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no more wine!4 Jesus said to her, [[a]Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? [What do we have in common? Leave it to Me.] My time (hour to act) has not yet come.5 His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.6 Now there were six waterpots of stone standing there, as the Jewish custom of purification (ceremonial washing) demanded, holding twenty to thirty gallons apiece.7 Jesus said to them, Fill the water pots with water. So they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then He said to them, Draw some out now and take it to the manager of the feast [to the one presiding, the superintendent of the banquet]. So they took him some.9 And when the manager tasted the water just now turned into wine, not knowing where it came from—though the servants who had drawn the water knew—he called the bridegroom

This represents a wedding. The guest would use the six water pots to wash themselves ceremonially. They had washed themselves with water. But now Jesus was here. He would turn the water to New Wine. The New Wine is HIM.? The New Wine is the Holy Spirit. The New Wine is the New Covenant. Now, the Holy Spirit also representing the New Wine would baptize us with His Fire to cleanse us supernaturally to prepare us for the wedding. The pots have been filled to the brim. We are to draw deep into HIM. He is the ultimate bridegroom.

Isaiah 55:1 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.

The above verse says to come buy wine. It says to come buy wine and milk without money. How can one buy something without money? If one truly desires to follow Jesus, one must take up his/her cross and deny him/herself and the things of the world. One can read John 2 and discern their right to drink alcoholic wine or one can discern it in the spirit for life to know grace is free but it will cost us everything. We must not only deny ourselves but we must deny the world and the lust of the world.

May His Light flood your hearts so that you may discern His Will  for your lives.

Sting of Venom from serpents

Proverbs 20:1 (NLT) Wine produces mockers; alcohol leads to brawls. Those led astray by drink cannot be wise.

Many Christians think we are allowed to drink wine. They say the bible says "drunks" cannot enter the Kingdom of God so therefore as long as they do not get drunk, they are allowed to drink wine. One other reason is that they say Jesus made wine so why would wine be restricted.

Proverbs 20:1 (AMP) Wine is a mocker, strong drink a riotous brawler; and whoever errs or reels because of it is not wise.

The NLT says wine produces mockers. The amplified says wine is a mocker. So why would Jesus make something that makes HIM and others to be a mocker? Why would Jesus make alcohol that leads to fights?

Christians say Noah got drunk. Just because he got drunk does not make it right. After all, the whole world just got destroyed.

Deuteronomy 32:33
(AMP) Their wine is the [furious] venom of serpents, and the pitiless poison of vipers.

There is a wine and liquor in which comes a sting of venom from serpents to those who drink it. It starts with a buzz as one consumes it. They are the poison of pitiless vipers. What good has come from drinking? What good has come from drinking that is produce by the world? The word "wine" in the bible is used generically.

As Christians we are to be set apart from the world. As Christians we are not to be doing what the world does. As Christians we are called to holiness. They say Jesus made wine? Well, the wine Jesus made was from water. Is the wine in the stores made from water? No, they are made from grape and by the works of man's hand for monetary profit.

When you drink wine made by Jesus from water, then you will have my approval. This wine is the Holy Spirit. Let us drink from HIM. He is the New Wine. We are to be open to the dynamic movement of the Holy Spirit as He moves in His people.

The enemy can only counterfeit. He brings it in physical form full of venom to give you a counterfeit high which is only temporary and at the end, empty. It is marketed as healthy. But at the end, it will lead to death.

Isaiah 5:22 (AMP) Woe to those who are mighty heroes at drinking wine and men of strength in mixing alcoholic drinks!—

Habakkuk 2:5 (AMP) Moreover, wine and [a]wealth are treacherous; the proud man [the Chaldean invader] is restless and cannot stay at home. His appetite is large like that of Sheol and [his greed] is like death and cannot be satisfied; he gathers to himself all nations and collects all people as if he owned them.

Having the Full Armor of God requires

Many Christians talk about the armor of God. They encourage one another in making sure they are wearing it. But what good is it for a solider wearing a uniform and having weapons when he does not train himself in shooting (sword) or in the art of war? Such soldiers will be easily defeated as they run in fear. They will not be able to hold their ground. If the FULL Armor of God is worn and used properly, scripture says in verse 11 that we will be able to SUCCESSFULLY stand up against ALL the strategies and deceits of the devil. Scripture says "ALL!" Therefore, if we are not successful and if we are in retreat or backslidding, then we must ask ourselves, where is the gap? In which area of my life or in my heart am I not serving God properly?

Scripture says in verse 13 to put ON God's complete armor. This is an action statement. It is telling us to read and FEED from His WORD! The Power and weapons are there in the Word. You will not find it in websites where their foundation is nothing but prophecy and future events. You will not find it in websites in which such venues accuse, reviling, and  rejecting authority and governments.

But for you brethren, "build yourselves up founded on your most holy faith make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher, praying in the Holy Spirit. Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God." (Jude 1)

Ephesians 6:10-18
In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the [a]firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness [b]produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of [c]saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit [d]wields, which is the Word of God.18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).

Scripture says to wear the belt of Truth. How can Truth hold up your belt and protect below the wait when one has not read or is not reading the bible? If one has not read the bible, then how is the shod of your feet to help you hold your ground. The shod of the Roman soldier had spikes to sustain traction and to hold their ground. Do you have enough WORD in you to hold your ground? Verse 15, " And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy". Do you have enough Word in you to face the enemy?

Do we have enough Word in us to now use it as a sword? And now when we do start to wear the Armor of God, are we still complying to the Complete Word. Verse 18 says PRAY AT ALL TIMES IN THE SPIRIT!!

This is why so many Christians are defeated. We have a good talk but we are in most part no action. We need to put on the FULL ARMOR of God and then we need to train ourselves through PRAYER. We need to be praying in the SPIRIT at all times. Do not be deceived brethren. Victory is real. Freedom is real. It is not a would have, could have, or should have. The Word of God is LIVING and it is REAL IF....I say IF you apply it. If you believe by OBEYING. IF YOU do the WILL of the Father. Walking with God IS MORE REAL than this physical world.

May HIS LIGHT FLOOD the eyes and ears of your hearts so that you may discern HIS WILL for your lives.

Sustaining the Fire

Before Moses was sent off to Egypt, he had an encounter with God. In fact, he had an encounter with the Fire of God. It was a blazing fire from the middle of the bush. In the OT, the Fire of God was on the outside as it was burning in front of HIM. God spoke through the Fire to give him instructions.

Exodus 3:3-4
(NLT) “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”4 When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
“Here I am!” Moses replied.

After the resurrection of Jesus and in the New Testament, the apostles had an encounter with the Holy Spirit as His Fire Spirit engulfed the 120 in the upper room. This day was called Pentecost.

Acts 2:3-4
(NLT) Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages,[a] as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Now the Fire of God burns inside the hearts of His people. Moses had led all of God's people out of Egypt when he had an encounter with the Fire of God. The apostles changed the world and became new people with an unstoppable passion when they had an encounter with the Fire of God.

May you all be baptized by His Spirit and with Fire. When we encounter the consuming Fire of God, we will be changed. But once you encounter His Fire, just like fire in the physical world, it must be sustained. Your prayers, your choice to be cleansed and zeal for HIM will sustain and continue the Fire in you. Otherwise, just like physical fire, it can go out.

Matthew 3:11
(NLT) “I baptize with[a] water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD by Diane Solver

2 Cor 6:16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in {and} with {and} among them and will walk in {and} with {and} among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

1 Cor 3:16 Do you not discern {and} understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?

The Bible says that we are the temple of the living God. But what does it mean to be Daddy God’s temple? What is a temple?

In the Old Testament, Daddy God revealed His glory in the tent or tabernacle that Moses constructed. It was where Daddy God would come, dwell and meet with His people. “Let them make a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst.” Exodus 25:8 It was where the pillar of cloud descends and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. It was where the people of Israel would draw near to Daddy God. It is a place dedicated to worship and prayer.

The tent or tabernacle that Moses constructed and the temple that Solomon built was a foreshadow of a more glorious temple. It was a type or foreshadowing of the glory of Jesus. It was a place where the Law of Moses was preserved; of which Jesus is now the fulfillment. .

Acts 7:47 But it was Solomon who built a house for Him. [I Kings 6.] 8 However, the Most High does not dwell in houses {and} temples made with hands; as the prophet says, 9 Heaven [is] My throne, and earth the footstool for My feet. What [kind of] house can you build for Me, says the Lord, or what is the place in which I can rest?

One day, a Samaritan woman asked Jesus, “Our forefathers worshiped on this mountain, but you [Jews] say that Jerusalem is the place where it is necessary {and} proper to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither [merely] in this mountain nor [merely] in Jerusalem. 22 You [Samaritans] do not know what you are worshiping [you worship what you do not comprehend]. We do know what we are worshiping [we worship what we have knowledge of and understand], for [after all] salvation comes from [among] the Jews. 23 A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. 24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship {Him} in spirit and in truth (reality).” John 4:20-24

True worship is no longer an outward ritual of going into temple built with human hands. True worship happens within man in spirit and in truth. We can meet Daddy God, talk with Him and worship Him with direct spirit to spirit communion. We come to Jesus because He is the Temple of God.

1 Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

We, as the body of Jesus, constitute the temple in which Daddy God is pleased to dwell. Daddy God said, “I will dwell in you and walk with you. I will be your God, and you shall be my people.” We are the temple of the Living God indwelt by His Spirit and dedicated to worship. Daddy God seeks human temples and not beautiful buildings. He seeks a human temple where He can dwell. He seeks a temple dedicated to worship and prayer.

Are we the temple dedicated to worship and prayer? Are we the temple where others could come to experience Him? That when others come to us they can feel the love of God flowing from us. That when they see us they will see God’s light for we are the reflectors of His light. We may not have a ceiling and large rooms but through us, people can experience Daddy God just as they did in the old temple of Jerusalem.

May we offer our bodies as God’s temple, as a living sacrifice to do God’s will.

Rev 21:3-4 Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne {and} I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God. 4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions {and} the former order of things have passed away.

Rev 21:22 I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent [Himself] and the Lamb [Himself] are its temple.

ALL GLORY TO GOD!
