Cast the spirit of Anger out from among yourselves

James 1:20 "Man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires"

When we get angry, our flesh will get stired up and next we will react emotionally. This reaction will open a huge gap for the evil spirits to enter into our bodies. Those evil spirits will try to control our thoughts and mind. It will provoke even more rage. Unless we quickly repent of our temper and anger, those evil spirits which have entered into our bodies will become a stronghold. The spirit of anger will bring in other evil spirits such as the spirit of resentment, unforgiveness, bitterness, grudges and etc to cooperate their work and to achieve their goal which is to drag us to hell. Unless we quickly humble ourselves and repent of our actions and ask God to help us to overcome anger with other people, our life will become miserable. Our angry actions will also stumble others as we tend to vent out our anger. It is human nature to seek other people to vent on or talk out why he/she is angry. This is an act of self justification. By making others agree with him/her, she will feel justified. God does not want us to simply react emotionally to others' reactions.

Proverbs 22:24-25 "Don't befriend angry people or associate with hot tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul.

Anger is very contagious. A spirit of anger and its friends will jump from people to people and will provoke the anger along with other spirits. We can easily witness a whole family suffer from anger issue. It is becasue a spirit of anger operates within the whole family member seizing their thoughts and mind. We can also witness married couple having anger issues. Sometimes we would read from a newspaper an article of a certain couple started a little argument but it led to killing each other. This anger problem passes down even to the next generation and beyond. Unless someone from this particular family becomes a true Christian following God to break and cast the spirit of anger back to hell, the spirit of anger will continue to faithfully perform its given mission. We can easily witness a certain group of people gather one minded and begin to bash on other people getting more angry as they react emotionally. This can lead to backbitting, criticizing and judging. This shows us that getting angry will lead more sin on top of more sin.

proverbs 14:29 "A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly"
Proverbs 15:18 "A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel "
Proverbs 20:30 "It is to a man's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel "
Proverbs 29:22 "An angry man stirs up dissension, and a hot-tempered one commits many sins "

When a man gets angry at anything or anyone, he/she generally talks to other people about their issue to gather a crowd and stir them up. It is nothing but a mob mentality. This way, getting angry can be justified as a man think he is thus vindicating himself. Perhaps, a spirit of restless and impatience leads one to think they are vindicating themselves. Instead of trying to calm down the situation, a person may attempt to stir even more because this way, the person thinks he can pay or get back for being insulted thinking he/she was not righly treated. It is a form of retaliation. But one man's anger may and will lead other people to sin. Many angry christians justify their anger by saying, it was a righteous anger. But by who's standard? We must know that most of time, if not all, our anger is not a righteous anger.

Bear the  fruit of gentlness and self control. Give no room to the spirit of anger. Swallow your anger. If anyone makes you angry, ask God to help you overcome the anger for it is not other people's problem but rather, it is your problem. Specially, if we are a Christian, we can't say, "He started first" or "He made me angry". There is no excuse for it for it is a sin that needs to be repented and needs to be addressed. If we ever get angry, this shows that our flesh is not fully crucified yet. Therefore, this showed that this part of our self must be put to death. We must let God fully reign in us. You must learn to bless those who made you angry. Bless them and love them for it is not your place to pay back or retaliate. If anyone falsely accuse you, pray and ask God to have mercy on them for they may not know what they are doing. We must posses the heart of Jesus for He prayed for those who had falsely accused and cruicified Him. We must also know that when we bless those who hates and curse us, we will receive blessings. When we bless those who comes against us, God will bless us back. There is no justification for getting angry and retaliating for it is not of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 26:2 (AMP) Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, so the causeless curse does not alight.

When someone makes a false accusation against me, I bless them in the name of Jesus. I do not try to vindicate myself for God knows my heart and situation. God is the only one who is able to vindicate me and the situation, if we try to vindicate ourselves, we will get into trouble and will evantually sin against God and we may stumble others and make them sin as well. Do not overjoyed for other's judgment for it may fall upon us. Alway love and bless.

Proverbs 20:22 "Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you .
Proverbs 29:11 "A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control
Matthew 5:21-24 "But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment ...
Romans 12:2 "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"

It is better for us not to say that we are a Christian if we are going to constantly get angry with others for their actions. For it does not properly resemble Jesus and it will not bring Him Glory. If you have been called into the office of leadership, this person must resemble God proplerly with self control and love instead of stirring up a group with rage, anger or emotion. God deals with leaders even more severly than lay believers. Every action will be carefully watched by God for leaders can take whole congregation to hell. Let us always carefully observe our actions. If any of our action contradicts the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit, let us quickly repent and ask God to help us to achieve bear nine fruit of Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs"

Colossians 3:8 "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips"

2 Timothy 2:24 "And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful"

Let Fire of God consume us!!

  1. I am a true believer in the love of God given to us in Christ Jesus. I have a very loving husband and two awesome children. I have so much to be happy for, but often find myself sullen and generally unhappy for no apparent reason. If I pay attention to my thoughts during these times they usually digress to focusing in on the shortcomings of my personality and how I'm not very well liked. During those times I'm very moody. Specifically I'm easily agitated to bouts of frustration and easily provoked to anger...especially towards my children. My mom has a deep seed of bitterness and my dad was always angry and frequently screamed at us children in a rage.how do I get rid of it?

    1. I can relate with you. But what I can tell you is that it helps to find the root of the problem. Because the spirit of anger tends to twin with resentment & unforgiving spirits. Seek God's help in repentance and forgiveness for past transgressions, through prayer.

For me. My parents have a deep seed of bitterness and were very hot tempered.I was born the quiet and throughout childhood I was a timid child. I always had my way of handling anger - which was to hide in my room and let bitterness, resentment and depression consume me. Which took a toll on my self esteem. I carried so much guilt that as I became a teenager the bitterness and resentment became full blown rage and violence towards my mother and people who i thought were fighting me. I would wake up feeling full of rage and unable to calm my self down.
After receiving Christ I thought the spirit of anger left me, but it was just there waiting for the opportunity to strike me when I least expect. Now I'm seeking forgiveness and healing. To bind that evil spirit at the cross.

  2. With God there is order. Many Christians are out of order and thus missing the promises and blessings of God. First order is we need to pray. When soldiers join the army, they first learn to march. Christians are trying to fight without spiritual stamina or equipment. We need to start with very basics in which most Christians do not do.

We live in a generation in which we have bibles everywhere, sermons everywhere, we live in a world of technology but we use that time to spend with the world rather than God.

We need to pray. If you have gift of tongue, start praying 30 minutes a day and move eventually to one hour a day for the rest of your life. Make sure you are reading the bible every day. What is most important is that we APPLY the bible in our lives.

Please visit our Youtube for sermons which will bless you greatly. There are many things God requires from HIS people but HIS people are too busy with sports, careers, money, and etc. We have to put God first. We think HE is first but in realty, HE is not to many.
