The "World" or its system as you know it today belongs to Satan. You can think of the world as a prison and Satan is her warden. When we are born into this world, we are born slaves to sin. As you grow up and participate with the things of the world, all that has been taught to you and all that has been assimilated into you are of the world. It is a "Babylonian" type of system. Unless you have been born in a Christian family and disciple properly, many of us are still slaves to this "world". Today, born in a Christian family has little merit for many of those families expect the world and their religious churches to raise their children. Many of today's Western Christian families are busy like the world with little time for their families. And we wonder why our children are acting like the children of the world? It is sad when even our churches now have video games in their classes to "baby sit" our children.
When a person finds Jesus Christ and gets saved, he/she realizes there is something called freedom. He or she realizes that they were never meant to be in this "world" assimilated with its system and ways. Once the person finds Jesus, they are now on the run towards heaven. But even in this life, when a prisoner breaks out of prison, the warden and the guards come after him/her. They want him/her back! When you get freed by the Blood of Jesus and you are now heaven bound, until you actually make it home to Him safely in His arms, Satan will do whatever in his means to get you back! Satan becomes furious when he loses one from his prison. Whether through corruption, deception, or to get you off course, Satan will do everything in his power to return you back towards HELL.
While we were prisoners of Satan chained in his prison, we talked like the prisoners using foul languages, we gossiped and talked inappropriate things about the opposite sex, we watched the same television programs, we subscribed to the same tabloids and gossip magazines, we rallied our gladiators and their teams called NFL, NBA, and the likes, we glorified as other prisoners fought one another in games called "Mixed Martial Arts or MMA", we listened to the same prison music such as Lady Gaga, Beatles, Britney Spears, Usher, heavy metal, gangster rap and the likes, we worked and worked not for God's glory but to buy bigger things for our own glory and to build our own kingdoms.
It didn't matter how we dressed in prison, the ladies loved to show their cleavage and the men loved to look at that direction. As technology advanced, the prisoners were now able to have their time filled with hours of games in mock killing and shooting with all the realistic graphics of gore and guts. We were able to have our time filled in dreamland of sorcery and magic. When play time was over, we were able to continue on our phones with a new one called Farmville and the likes.
Instead of honoring a day which was set apart to keep His Day Holy, we started to do commerce and conjure up entertainment for ourselves on the Lord's Day. Yes, we had other days but instead of taking care of our personal interest on those days, we worked and worked like cattle so we can look and feel better than all the other prisoners. Then we used the Lord's Day to serve our own personal interests. As prisoners, we liked to smoke, drink, and gamble. Some of the prisoners enjoyed getting high. Drugs are but counterfeit high from the real thing of getting high on God. Many prisoners did not care of their bodies; they would exchange themselves and sell their bodies. The price for their bodies was dinner, a movie, and a bottle of cognac or whiskey. But in these last days, there is no price for their bodies. The price has cheapened for the sake of "fun". The warden allows such acts and promotes it. Many prisoners are giving each other to the same sex. They do not care anymore. It is but more delusion on top of more delusion.
The sad reality is that as many have been set free by the Blood of Jesus but many are making a U turn back into the "world." Instead of focusing on the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, doing His Will, and striving for the prize of home, they reminisce like Lot's wife and they continue to look back. Many have become diluted and deceived into thinking they can run towards home during the day but when it becomes night, they sneak back into the prison to hang out with the prisoners and do what they used to do. Their pass word to sneak back into the prison at night is "grace."
2 Corinthians 6:14-18(AMP) Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.(A)17 So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor,(B)18 And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
What do Christians consider the "world"? Do they think just because they are not in jail they are not part of the world as the bible is referring? Do they think the "world" is defined as criminals, gangsters, prostitutes, pimps, communists, the Muslims, atheist, etc? When the bible says do not yoke yourself, Christians generally define that as one should not be marrying a non-professing Christian? They do not even realize it is the dung they are swimming in that they need to separating themselves from!!
Many people continue to ask me for help on how to get closer with God? What separates a person from God? It is SIN!! Just because you are not in jail and you are not a gangster, nor a pimp, a prostitute, a thief, a drunk (but modest drinker now perhaps), a joint smoker (but nicotine is defined as ok by the religious and world), a loose man/woman (but you may still be fornicating with someone (just one this time) who you say you love but you are still not married), and etc etc etc, you think you are apart from the world?
What business do Christians have of knowing more of Hollywood, the Kardashians, Oprah, the ridiculous reality shows, the personal lives of celebrities, which stars are dating which stars, who is divorcing who, etc etc etc? What business do those who say they Love Jesus have any business knowing more of the world than HIM?
If Hollywood, the Kardashians, Hugh Hefner, Oprah, reality shows, Usher, Lady Gaga, Madonna, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, NFL, Super Bowl, NBA, March Madness, Nascar, Major League Baseball, Olympics, capitalism, communism, socialism, entitlements, Television, Horror films, pornography, violent films, gangster films, night clubs, drinking, smoking, drugs, lying, stealing, cheating on your IRS form, lying on your time clock at work, taking office supplies from work, taking more than your required lunch or break time, and etc etc etc....if these things are trivial to you then you are not walking in the light.
Ephesians 5:3-8 (AMP)3 But immorality (sexual vice) and all impurity [[a]of lustful, rich, wasteful living] or greediness must not even be named among you, as is fitting and proper among saints (God's consecrated people).4 Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency) nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness [to God].5 For be sure of this: that no person practicing sexual vice or impurity in thought or in life, or one who is covetous [who has lustful desire for the property of others and is greedy for gain]--for he [in effect] is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.6 Let no one delude and deceive you with empty excuses and groundless arguments [for these sins], for through these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of rebellion and disobedience.7 So do not associate or be sharers with them.
8 For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [lead the lives of those native-born to the Light].
When Jesus came the first time, the call of REPENT did not go to the heathens. It initially went forth to His people. Jesus was telling His people to REPENT. Today, His return is near and the call is the same for His people. Repent and return to your first LOVE. Separate yourselves from the world!! The "World" and her system are going to collapse.
Revelation 18:3-4 (AMP)3For all nations have drunk the wine of her passionate unchastity, and the rulers and leaders of the earth have joined with her in committing fornication (idolatry), and the businessmen of the earth have become rich with the wealth of her excessive luxury and wantonness.4 I then heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out from her, my people, so that you may not share in her sins, NEITHER PARTICIPATE IN HER PLAGUES.
If you do not separate yourself from the world, you will participate in her plagues that are coming. Do not think Grace gives you a license to do what the world does. The world will receive her due wages. Why would you want to share in her wages?
Revelation 18:5-10(AMP) 5 For her iniquities (her crimes and transgressions) are piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and [her] crimes [and calls them up for settlement 6 Repay to her what she herself has paid [to others] and double [her doom] in accordance with what she has done. Mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed [for others].7 To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness [living deliciously and luxuriously], to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen [on a throne] I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow. 8 So shall her plagues (afflictions, calamities) come thick upon her in a single day, pestilence and anguish and sorrow and famine; and she shall be utterly consumed (burned up with fire), for mighty is the Lord God Who judges her.9And the rulers and leaders of the earth who joined her in her immorality (idolatry) and luxuriated with her will weep and beat their breasts and lament over her when they see the smoke of her conflagration.10 They will stand a long way off, in terror of her torment, and they will cry, Woe and alas, the great city, the mighty city, Babylon! In one single hour how your doom (judgment) has overtaken you!
