What does God define as evil? When His people forsake Him, HE considers it EVIL. Yes, HE will never leave or forsake you as long as you do not forsake Him but history has shown His people have and tend to forsake Him. In the Old Testament, when His people forsook Him, they were so blind they did not even realize they were forsaking Him.
History always seems repeat as the nature of the flesh is the same. Are you forsaking Him and may not even be realizing it?
Jeremiah 2:13(AMP) For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, and they have hewn for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns which cannot hold water.
Many Christians today are gorging themselves over idols and many today have no ideal they are serving their own Baals. Many are misled to believe they have Grace to do and participate the things of the world.
Matthew 4:8-9(AMP) Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory (the splendor, magnificence, preeminence, and excellence) of them.9And he said to Him, These things, all taken together, I will give You, if You will prostrate Yourself before me and do homage and worship me.
Many have and are bowing down to Satan as the devil has given many of God's children their own little kingdoms of the world. And yet, many Christians continue to say, "What is so wrong with watching 4 hours of sports on Sunday? What is so wrong with listening to Usher or Lady Gaga? What is wrong with watching the Kardashians? What is so wrong with watching horrow films? What is so wrong with the bling bling? What is so wrong with video games of sorcery? What is so wrong with Harry Potter? What is so wrong with hip hop gangsta rap? What is so wrong with having a girlfriend or boyfriend and having sex when we love each other?
What is so wrong is that they continue to give glory to another instead of God. They continue to give God blemished sacrifices of one hour per week services and they know more about their movie stars, football stars, baseball stars, music stars, and Hollywood then they do about their KING! And most sadly, it is our Christian mainstream of so called Christian music radio and churches that would promote the world mingled with our God.
Jeremiah 2:22-27 (AMP)For though you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, yet your iniquity and guilt are still [upon you; you are] spotted, dirty, and stained before Me, says the Lord.23 How can you say, I am not defiled; I have not gone after the Baals [other gods]? Look at your way in the valley; know what you have done. You are a restive young female camel [in the uncontrollable violence of her brute passion eagerly] running hither and thither,24Or [you have the untamed and reckless nature of] a wild donkey used to the desert, in her heat sniffing the wind [for the scent of a male]. In her mating season who can restrain her? No males seeking her need weary themselves; in her month they will find her [seeking them].25[Cease from your mad running after idols, from which you get nothing but bitter injury.] Keep your feet from being unshod and your throat from thirst. But you said, It is hopeless! For I have loved strangers and foreigners, and after them I will go.26As the thief is brought to shame when he is caught, so shall the house of Israel be brought to shame--they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets--27[Inasmuch as] they say to a tree, You are my father, and to a stone, You gave me birth. For they have turned their backs to Me and not their faces; but in the time of their trouble, they say, Arise [O Lord] and save us!
2 Chronicles 15:2(AMP) And he went out to meet Asa and said to him, Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: the Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him, craving Him as your soul's first necessity], He will be found by you; but if you [become indifferent and] forsake Him, He will forsake you.
