How can we overcome our addictions, bondage, and problems of life that choke the life out of us? We can
only do it through the POWER of the Holy SPIRIT as we habitually put
the evil deeds to death that are prompted by our bodies. Scripture says
"through the Power of the Holy Spirit."
We cannot just give up on our addictions and problems of life thinking there is no cure or help. If we are not overcoming, then we better ask ourselves why is not the Power of the Holy Spirit not in us to help us overcome and have victory?
Many are professing Christians and many may know some Word or even a lot of Word but do they have the Spirit?
John 4:22 (AMP) You [Samaritans] do not know what you are worshiping [you worship what you do not comprehend]. We do know what we are worshiping [we worship what we have knowledge of and understand], for [after all] salvation comes from [among] the Jews.
All Christians know salvation comes from Jesus Christ. Jesus told the Samaritan lady by the well that she and many like her did not know what they were worshiping. They were worshiping what they did not comprehend. But she rebutted and said they did know what they were worshiping. She said they worshiped what they had knowledge and understanding.
John 4:23-24 (AMP) A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).
Many know the term that we must worship in Truth and Spirit. Do you even know what the means? Are we really worshiping HIM in Truth and Spirit or from a position of knowledge and understanding?
John 3:5 (AMP) Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [[a]even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus put two conditions to enter the Kingdom of God. You must be born of water and the Spirit. You may know the Word but you must be born of the Spirit. But sadly, many do not even know the Word. The Word you must drink and let it sanctify you. You must immerse yourself in the Word.
As the Word sanctifies you and brings freedom, it only works as we obey removing the idols in our lives. When we repent and remove the idols in our lives, the Spirit will strongly manifest in your lives. IF the Spirit is being hindered, ask God if you have idols that are competing with HIM in your hearts.
May your temples be cleansed where He can find rest in you as His home. May you live and walk in the Power of the Living God. May His Glory rise upon you and may His Power help you overcome in all things to Glorify HIM.
