The Days of Acts to continue?

Acts 5:19-21(AMP) "But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and, leading them out, said,20 Go, take your stand in the temple courts and declare to the people the whole doctrine concerning this Life (the eternal life which Christ revealed).21 And when they heard this, they accordingly went into the temple about daybreak and began to teach. Now the high priest and his supporters who were with him arrived and called together the council (Sanhedrin), even all the senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have [the apostles] brought.

I hear many individuals and churches talk about desiring to be as the church as in the days of Acts! In the days of Acts, people would bring their sick hoping at least the shadow of Apostle Peter might fall on some of them as he would pass. Some time ago during our evening prayer the Lord asked my wife and I a question. He asked, "Do you know why the Apostle's shadow would heal people? It is because they were HOLY men." Our walk in holiness is a channel to God's anointing and power. Today, the concept of holiness is but a distance chatter with little relevance within God's people.

Acts 5:15 (AMP) So that they [even] kept carrying out the sick into the streets and placing them on couches and sleeping pads, [in the hope] that as Peter passed by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them.

How will we to become the church as in the days of Acts? I heard someone preaching that the books of Acts has not concluded. It is still yet to continue. Are we able to continue what was started in Acts? Yes, if we are willing to pay the price and cost to get there. If we make a choice to get out of our complacency and from the fear of men, we can draw closer to HIM on a more intimate level than we have ever experienced. What are some of the prerequisites for our today's churches to continue in the footsteps of the days of Acts? Is it still possible today for men of God to pass by with their shadows and bring the touch of God for healing? Where are His soldiers of the Cross who are willing to pay the whole price? Yes, the greater days are upon us and many are in their wildernesses being trained. How many will finish their test through the Fire to come out refined and purged?

What  did the angel of the Lord command the Apostles to do? In Acts chapter 5 verse 20, the angel of the Lord told the apostle to go teach the "WHOLE DOCTRINE concerning this life." In other words, go teach and preach the Whole Gospel of Jesus Christ for He is Life. The apostles heeded and began teaching early in the morning. However, they again had to deal with the council as they were once again brought before them. But it is the last verse which is important.

Acts 5:42 (AMP) Yet [in spite of the threats] they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus [as] the Christ (the Messiah).

Sometimes I wonder who started this trend to have church services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Did God tell some preacher or did a tradition began within the western church that services are mostly to be held only on Sundays and Wednesdays. Have we asked God lately if this is acceptable?

If a servant of God is to enter the Kingdom of God, he must be willing to die for the sheep. Jesus said if you Love Him, He said to FEED, TEND, and FEED His Sheep! It is not enough to say with words that one will die for the sheep. It must be expressed through action without complaining and grumbling. Is there enough time that our churches should only be open Sundays and Wednesdays when so many are in need of help and so many lost? If we are to be the continuing church of Acts with signs and wonders filled with the Holy Spirit, we must follow the example of the apostles. They did not live for their comfort. They did not live for themselves. They did not live to build up their vacations or retirements. They lived for the LORD even unto suffering and death.

Whether you are an individual or a church, the price to follow Jesus is not a Sunday event. It is not a Sunday or Wednesday event. It is a DAILY Event!! Check your hearts brethren. Where is your time? Where is your heart? He is coming! He is coming back with a Rod! He is coming for a HOLY BRIDE!
