Here is what I tell you. You are Peter. On this rock I will build my church. The gates of hell will not be strong enough to destroy it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. What you lock on earth will be locked in heaven. What you unlock on earth will be unlocked in heaven." (Matthew 16:18-19 NIRV)
If we are truly and properly built upon our Lord Jesus, the gates of hell is not strong enough to destroy us. The gates of hell cannot overcome the Church. The gates of hell cannot overcome the Church as a whole nor individuals. What can hell represent that attempts to overcome us? The things in which belong to hell are jealousy, anger, out burst of rage, lust, greed, defeat, poverty, war, famine, pestilence, disobedience, doubt, unbelief, lust of the world, etc. Such things should not control us in which we are slaves to it. As manifested sons of God, we should be dead to those things living a resurrected life in Him.
If we are truly and properly built upon the Rock, then we will be given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. The keys to the Kingdom is authority. What is locked on the earth will be locked in heaven. Our authority will be His authority. When we are truly manifested as sons of God, the earth will submit to the authority of His people. This is the greater works. Just as when Joshua asked for the sun to stop, such authority is awaiting for His obedient, overcoming, enduring sons and daughters who know their identity in Christ. They will be the two olive trees in the end times as His Fire servants preparing for the return of the King of Kings.
