Deeper roots

John 15:4-8 (AMP) 4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine

For a fruit tree to bear fruit, it usually take years to grow to maturity but some fruit trees can bear fruit at a young age. As a tree grows, it must weather many storms. It may have to go through the many storms life. It may have to go through droughts. It will have to fight off insects/worms/diseases (demons). There are many natural elements to fight off and grow.

A baby tree is a manifestation from a seed that was planted in the soil. The seed is the Word of God. The baby tree has yet to bear fruit but it must first grow with light, water, and fertile soil/location. Good soil is required to grow. One must be in a good church to grow properly. All fruit trees must be kept away from barriers. We must grow in Christ and have all hindrances and barriers removed. The soil must have proper drainage. Too much water can drown the tree. Christians must feed from uncompromised Truth. There are so many different types of information, denominations, prophecy, information of end times that many trees are confused and drowning.

Air drainage is also important for tress. In areas where spring frost and freezes are common, the site must have the ability to let the cold air flow downward. The wind can represent the Holy Spirit but it can also represent the distractions of life. We must be able to let the distractions down. It will ship wreck our faith.

Ephesians 4:14
(AMP) So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [a]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

The recommended time for a fruit tree is to have 6 hours or more of daily sunlight. As a young fruit tree it is recommended to be pruned. We must spend a good deal of time with God each day to grow. We must let God prune us to grow properly.

When a tree is young, its roots are not very well dug into the ground. But as the tree matures and begins to grow abundance fruit, the roots have grown deep into the soil. It is very difficult to bring such a tree down as its roots have well dug in. But this is not to say that it is not impossible.

We are to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit. In order for our roots to grow and grow deep into the ground, we must get deeper into the Word and get deeper with God. Many know the surface of scripture but many have yet to go deep. They have yet to have their roots grow deep into the soil.  As we continue to abide in HIM on a deeper level, we will be bearing abundant fruit. This is mandatory. We are not to stay as baby Christians all of our lives.

If we are not bearing fruit, then it is a manifestation of ourselves not abiding in Christ and eventually, such branches will be gathered up and thrown into the fire. A tree does not just bear fruit for one season and is considered finish. It will bear fruit for all its life. We are to continue to abide in HIM always bearing fruit.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,23 Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [[f]that can bring a charge].24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

Unless we possess the fruit of the Holy Spirit, we will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
