The Greatest Act of Humility

The greatest act of humility in the heavens was when God's Son Jesus came down to be born in the flesh, to walk among men, and be crucified. This great act of humility from the heavens began as it first manifested with Jesus being born in a manger. Yes, He was born in a manger. In other words, He was born in a barn or stable with farm animals. Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords yet He came and was born in one of the lowly places.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (AMP) For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

The Lord says His thoughts and His ways are higher than ours. When His thoughts and ways are performed in the heavens and as it breaks through into the physical realm, it will manifest much differently than how many expect it to be.

If you were living in such times and if you had heard the King of kings was going to be born, where would you have looked? Since He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, would you have looked in the castles? Would you have looked in the most wealthiest homes? Would you have looked in the most biggest or most glorious temples or churches?

If someone told you that the Messiah had been born in a manger where some donkeys and sheep were hanging out, would you believe? If you were wearing a nice suit with expensive shoes, would you go and see? Would you go knowing your shoes and clothes may get dirty and perhaps get some animal dung on your shoes?

Because it would take humility on our part to go and see. But if we thought more of our shoes and clothes, then we would miss one of the most important events in history. Perhaps today, many of us miss very important events with the Lord because we care for too much for the things of the world.

If you told some children about the Messiah being born in the manger, they would go see with excitement. They would not care of stepping on animal dung. They do not care if their clothes got dirty. All they know is that their parents would wash them or they would get new ones. It would be nice if the adult Christians can have such faith and trust in God that He would get us new and better ones if our focus is more on the important things such as HIM than the earthly things.

And this is why even as adults, we must evermore walk in humility so we can possess the faith like a child. Scripture says unless we have the faith like children, we will not enter the Kingdom of God.

Mark 10:15 (AMP) Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive and accept and welcome the kingdom of God like a little child [does] positively shall not enter it at all.

Matthew 18:3 (AMP) And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].

He is the small voice. He comes in a direction in which most are not expecting. He will do things in which most are not expecting. Make sure you do not just know about HIM but that you know HIM for His ways are not our ways nor HIS thoughts our thoughts. We will NEVER be able to predict or figure out His next move. We will never figure out the eternal or spiritual without HIM giving us the revelation. If you attempt to figure and fix things on your own, you are but moving in pride. You must move in Faith and that Faith must be in HIM. Such Faith is great when it comes forth as if we are like little children.  We must be totally dependent on HIM and HIM alone for everything.
