Are you crying out from your hearts?

Hosea 7:14 NLT They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts. Instead, they sit on their couches and wail. They cut themselves, begging foreign gods for grain and new wine, and they turn away from me.
Hosea 7:14 EXB They do not ·(call cry) out to me from their hearts. They just lie on their beds and ·cry wail. They ·come together assemble themselves; or gash/slash themselves; to ask for grain and new wine, but they really ·turn away from rebel against me.
In Hosea, God is speaking about the cheating of His people. When HE disciplines them, they cry out but they do not cry out from their hearts. They cry out from their self pity. Many in self pity seek comfort from others. Rather than repenting properly and seeking God's face, the people of Hosea's time sat around their couches and beds feeling sorry for themselves.
"They cut themselves." They fell into discouragement, depression, and self pity. They would cry out about their lives on the couch or bed. Such Christians or God's people at that time would assemble together consoling their self pity rather than giving God glory or repenting.
When their crying out was not sincere and as they asked for "new wine and grain" or in other words healing, power, restoration, and anointing, they were asking it from Baal. When we do not ask in God's way but ours, we are asking Baal. God considered such acts as Rebellion.
Let us all fully awaken and come to the Truth.
