Daughters of Jerusalem, weep for yourselves!

As world events and storms occurs such as the war against terrorists (ISIS), ebola, earthquakes, famines, drought, protests, and others, may the Christians be the salt and light of the world. May HIS people who are called by HIS Name learn to be still and know HE is God. If HE allows the world to become darker, it is to allow HIS Light to shine brighter from HIS people. It is to separate the wheat and tares. His judgments will show HIS Righteousness even among HIS disobedient people. We must know HIS Ways. Such calamities will also bring cleansing onto the land to prepare for the harvest.

Isaiah 45:7  I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things.

Haggai 1:11 I have called for a drought on your fields and hills—a drought to wither the grain and grapes and olive trees and all your other crops, a drought to starve you and your livestock and to ruin everything you have worked so hard to get.”

Throughout history, there has always been wars, rumors of wars, pestilence, famine, droughts, protests, fear of the end, and so on and so on. What has changed? The world will always have its issues. What are God's people to do?

God wants us to stop looking at the world's problem for the world will always have its problems. God wants us to seek HIS Face. God wants us cleansed and purified so that we can enter the Holy of Holies with HIM.

Many Christians get together to pray for the concerns of the world but we must first get the proper order. Many Christians fail to pray for themselves and their families. What use is it to go on missions or witness for Jesus telling people to forgive when they have yet to forgive themselves? What use is it to go preach that Jesus will restore their families yet when their own families are in ruins?

Luke 23:27-28 (NLT)A large crowd trailed behind, including many grief-stricken women. 28 But Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

Before Jesus left, what did HE command us to do? Did HE command us to pray for the concerns of the world? No, HE said to pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to be a witness to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and then to the Nations. Jerusalem is where the physical temple was located. Where is the temple of God now? It is in you! Therefore, you are now spiritual Jerusalem. Please be a witness to yourself first.

We must pray for ourselves and weep for our own sins repenting and bearing fruits of repentance. We must be cleansed and have forgiven. We must prepare ourselves to meet the King in the Holy of Holies. We can meet HIM now spiritually. HE is coming for you now. His coming is not only a physical event but it is to be a spiritual event for all HIS children even now.

Ester had riguorously prepared herself to meet the king. She had sacrificed her life to meet the king. What are we doing to meet the King of Kings? We spend four hours watching worldly sports shouting for strangers making offerings to their industries. We watch useless hours of TV to gain nothing and lose precious time. We continue to spend less time with God but we think we are getting ready for HIM?

When Ester met the king and received his favor, she was able to intercede for her people. He was willing to give her half his kingdom. God wants us prepared like Ester so that we may enter the Holy of Holies. We must be praying to prepare ourselves. We must be cleansed and purified. We must remove our sins and idols. The concerns of the world are but a distraction away from HIM.

When we seek HIS Face with all our hearts and when we meet HIM in the Holy of Holies, HE will grant whatever we ask in HIS Name. Then as we have prepared ourselves for the King and as we are in HIS Presence, we can now intercede for our families and the nations.

The bible says that the prayers of the wicked are an abomination to God. The unbelievers do not pray so this scripture is referring to HIS people. This is why much of our prayers are not answered because our temples are defied. The world is in chaos and HE is waiting for HIS people to seek HIS Face in the midst of such storms and learn to be still.

And through HIS Bride who has prepared herself, HE will perform the greater works through them. May the Holy Spirit lead you to all HIS Truth. May you find HIS Mercy and Grace.
