Your
choice or decision in any given situation will produce an action and
thus produce another reaction, and perhaps another reaction and so
forth. If your choice or decision is good and according to God's will,
then you will produce good fruit. But if your choice or decision is
selfish, wrong, or fleshy, then it will produce bad fruit.
There will be a chain reaction of that particular fruit that
continues to be produced. If it is good fruit, then good fruit will
continue to be bore. But if it is bad fruit, then bad fruit will
continue to be bore.
You must examine your lives and determine
what is occurring around your life. What type of fruit is being
produced in your life and circumstances? If you are experiencing
continued bad fruit, then you must ask God where that point of decision
or choice was made. Maybe it was choices and/or decisions. You will
probably have to repent. Let HIM show you.
When King David
made a bad decision to commit murder and adultery, he repented when the
prophet came and warned him. God forgave him but there were
consequences. We may still face and experience consequences for making
bad decisions. King David as part of his judgment lost his baby son. His
daughter Tamar was raped and one of his sons were killed by another
son, Absalom. Then he lost the kingdom to his son Absalom. King David
was not a baby believer. He was mature and as a result had to face the
consequences.
His decision was bad fruit and thus created more
bad fruit. But as King David experienced his judgment and consequences,
it was still his test regardless. He was being tested. Although bad
fruit were being produced, King David turned and made choices and
decisions to show good fruit after he had repented. He had spared Shamei
who had cursed him during his flee from Jerusalem. Moreover, King David
was not looking to kill Absalom. He wanted him spared for he loved him
much.
If you make choices and decisions now that are of the
fruit of the Holy Spirit, then you will experience the further actions
and reactions of the same nature. If you show mercy, will you not be
shown mercy? If you show kindness, will you not be shown kindness? We
reap what we sow.
Matthew 5:7 (NLT) God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Gal 5:19-24 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the
results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of
anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness,
wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I
have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the
Kingdom of God.
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit
in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against
these things!24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the
passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified
them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the
Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become
conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.
